President’s Welcome

Our organization works with various clients in different industries. From non-profit organizations to local Ann Arbor businesses to Fortune 500 companies, we work with them all. These action-based learning experiences allow our members to prepare for the real world of consulting beyond graduation. We strive to provide a holistic approach to the consulting industry by delivering projects focused on marketing, finance, operations, technology, etc.

Beyond just being a professional organization, Atlas is a family. Joining back in the Winter of 2022 as a freshman, I remember the candid and engaging conversations I had with the members of Atlas. I genuinely felt that Atlas placed my well-being and professional interests at the utmost importance. There was this cheerful, radiant energy members carried, and it drew me in. Looking back over these past couple of years, I can say with conviction that Atlas has surpassed my expectations. Beyond that, Atlas became my home. A home with a family that supports me during my triumphs and failures. A home with traditions such as our weekly Pancheros runs after general meetings or our Chicago Trek that has provided me with relationships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Joining Atlas was the best decision I have made in college, and I want this to be something you can experience. I am incredibly excited about this upcoming semester, and we can’t wait to meet all of you at our recruiting events. Please visit our “Recruiting” tab to learn more about the recruiting timeline and events, and feel free to email faizanb@umich.edu with any questions, comments, or concerns. Go Blue!

Best,

Faizan Bhagat

President of Atlas Consulting Group

Dear Michigan Community,

Welcome to Atlas Consulting Group! I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to learn more about our organization. Founded in 2017, Atlas is a pro-bono consulting organization that firmly believes that great consultants are created when they are surrounded by passionate and diverse individuals from all fields of expertise, and that is who we are. We are a family of over 50 members who are passionate about consulting and driven to change our community and the businesses we serve.

The New Member Experience

Walking through the weekly Atlas events of a first-semester analyst…

Professional Development

Each week, Atlas new members attend a professional development session to fully prepare them for involvement in their projects and presentations. Atlas prides itself on providing each member with experiences and resources to make them equipped to enter the consulting field, with professional development workshops ranging from casing practice, resume / LinkedIn improvements, networking, Excel proficiency, and more!

Project Meetings

Throughout the week, each analyst will meet at least once with their project team, consisting of 3-4 other analysts, their project manager, and their project advisor. Individual project work will be completed by each team member prior to meeting so that meetings can be fully collaborative and efficient! Projects last 10-12 weeks over the course of the semester, with a midpoint and final presentation to highlight the team’s work.

Coffee Chats

Atlas new members are expected to schedule multiple coffee chats with fellow Atlas members and alumni each week, encouraging them to connect with everyone in the club and practice networking in a business setting. Coffee chats are one of the best ways for Atlas members to learn from one another, and demonstrate the tightly-knit community of the group in which each member serves as a mentor for the others.

Social Events

Whether through a club-wide tailgate, our big / little pairings reveal, “formal”, Pancheros runs after general meetings, spontaneous study sessions, club retreats, or holiday events, Atlas members find excuses to spend time with one another. The Atlas community and its both professional and social mentorship run deep, and integrating our new analysts into our network is one of the highlights of each semester.
